The day starts with a walk through the inner city, we then board the Rea Vaya bus system and travel to Soweto. Numerous fun sites are scene on the Journey including Soccer City. We then arrive in Orlando, one of Soweto's most culturally rich areas. We take a walk to Vilakazi Street where we learn more about Soweto and its people, history and culture. Here we will visit Mandela House, the former home of Nelson Mandela. Next up we walk the short distance to Hector Pieterson museum experiencing the area and community. At Hector Pieterson your guide will give you an intro lecture to the 1976 Uprising- one of Soweto's most important events and then you are free to walk around the Museum. We then make the walk back to the bus and travel back to the city.
